Daily (22.02.2019): Carbon prices plummeted by over 8% due to bearish concerns

Oil prices edged slightly down on Thursday after EIA reported a record level of U.S. crude oil inventories and crude exports since the start of 2018, amid ongoing concerns about slower global economic growth. However, the losses were limited by OPEC’s output cuts, U.S. sanctions on Venezuelan and Iranian oil imports, as well as the advancing U.S.-China trade talks. Brent oil almost steadied at $67.07 a barrel, while WTI crude was 0.4% down at $56.96 a barrel.

Coal exports from Belarus to Ukraine increase almost 1K times

According to the National Statistical Committee of Belarus, in just one year Belarus turned into a major exporter of coal: compared to 2017, in 2018, total exports of hard coal increased from 164.9 thousand tons to 853.9 thousand tons, and those of anthracite from 0.3 to 107.3 thousand tons.

Daily (14.02.2019): Oil prices climbed by 1.8% on Wednesday, as Saudi Arabia plans to reduce crude exports and production

Oil prices were bullish on Wednesday, after Saudi Arabia announced its plans to reduce crude exports and production. At the same time, rising U.S. crude inventories might still put pressure on the market. As a result, Brent crude increased by 1.9% to 63.61 USD/bbl. WTI crude rose by 1.5% to 53.90 USD/bbl.

Oil prices saw a small drop on Monday influenced by the recent positive sentiment that China-U.S. relations will reach a comprehensive trade deal. However, losses were limited by OPEC supply cuts and U.S Sanctions on Venezuelan oil exports. As a result, Brent crude fell by 0.4% to 62.51 USD/bbl, while WTI crude dropped by 1.3% to settle at 54.56 USD/bbl.
