The global benchmarks Brent and WTI reached a two-week high on Tuesday in a choppy trading as investors are worried about a shortage of supply and a declining dollar. Thus, Brent crude ended 1% higher at $107.35 a barrel, while WTI rose by 1.6% to settle at $104.22 a barrel.

EU drafts plan to reduce gas consumption ahead of uncertain winter

Dutch expect to sustain gas exports to Germany if Russia cuts flows

Oil prices barely changed on Monday as the markets weighed persistent supply shortage worries against an anticipated decline in demand driven by extensive COVID-19 testing in China. Hence, Brent crude ended rather flat to settle at $107.10 a barrel, while U.S. WTI crude slipped by 0.7%, to settle at $104.09 a barrel.
