Gazprom agrees to join Eni’s Elephant oil field project in Libya
Gazprom, the Russian gas giant, has signed an agreement yesterday with the Italian gas company, Eni. The deal was signed in Rome and provides that Gazprom will buy a 33% stake in the Elephant oil field project in Libya, half of which is owned by Eni.

Rosneft makes two new discoveries in the Eastern Siberia
Russia's largest state-owned oil company, Rosneft announced that it has discovered two new oil and gas fields in Eastern Siberia with recoverable reserves of around 80 million metric tons each.
