China’s solar target to double to more than 40 GW by 2015

China is likely to double the installed solar power capacity target by 2015 to 40GW, which is a progress indicator in the 12th five year plan of the world’s second-largest economy. Only 18 months ago, it was reached at 5 GW, than it was doubled to 20 GW and now 40 GW. According to some forecasts, it is likely that China will double its 2020 PV target, from the current 50 GW to 100 GW.
