Daily – oil up over 1 dollar on rising tensions between Iran and the West

Crude oil prices increased over one dollar on Tuesday on fears that rising tensions between Iran and the West could lead to a disruption in oil supplies. By 23:06, NYMEX crude for February delivery traded at 100.30 dollars a barrel, up 1.47 dollars, while by 01:02 GMT, ICE Brent crude for February delivery traded at 108.38 dollars a barrel, up 1 dollar.

IEA: Singapore to become an LNG-trading hub

With a record demand for LNG in Japan and a boom in North American supplies, natural gas is expected to play a key role in the global energy mix of the future, with the International Energy Agency (IEA) saying it could well be a “golden age” for gas, paving the way for an LNG trading hub in Asia.

Daily- U.K. gas at 10-month low on rising supplies

U.S. and North Sea Brent crude oil futures fell on Thursday due to ongoing tensions over euro zone debt crisis. Brent crude traded at $110.24 a barrel, down 28 cents, while U.S. crude declined by 6 cents to $100.30 by 08:33 GMT.
