RWE Innogy completes its wind power portfolio in Poland to 108 MW

A new wind farm Piecki was built in the northeastern part of Poland, with a total installed capacity of 32MW. It will produce annually about 60.000MWh of electricity which could supply 30.000 residential households with energy necessities and can cut emissions up to 60.000 tons of CO2.

Brazil, which is currently the wind energy leader in Latin America, is looking to further develop its wind sector as part of its 2010 Alternative Energy Auctions, thus GE announced the commitment of four developers in supplying an added total of 400 megawatts of wind power to Brazil’s current energy capacity.

China National Petroleum Corp in a multi-billion project in Cuba.

State-owned Chinese company, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) plans big investments in 2011, intending to build a refinery, a LNG terminal and an electricity generation plant worth a total of $6 billion, which is supposed to be one of the biggest projects in Cuba.
