China expected to install record 12 000 MW of solar PV in 2014

By the end of 2014, China is expected to install a record of 12,000 MW of solar panels, according to a report released by the Chinese Bureau of Energy. This includes the installation of 8, 000 MW of solar PV panels on roofs and other 4,000 MW in the ground-mount segment.

Daily: European coal prices plunge to new multi-year lows on oversupply

Brent crude rocketed to a nine-month high over $115 a barrel on Thursday as the United States said it would send up to 300 military advisers to Iraq, increasing worries about an intensification of conflict. Brent boosted 80 cents to hit $115.06 a barrel, the highest level since September 6. The U.S. crude oil futures contract for July delivery, which expires on Friday, increased 46 cents to close at $106.43.
