New nuclear will ensure France's energy security, SFEN says
A failure to renew France's fleet of nuclear power reactors will have consequences as soon as 2030 for not only the country's energy security but also its climate targets, according to the French nuclear energy society (SFEN). Nuclear power plants, with a combined capacity of 62 GWe, currently account for more than 70% of the country's electricity generation.

IAEA: Reactors are maintaining safe operation during pandemic
There has been no enforced shutdown of a nuclear power reactor due to the effects of COVID-19 on the workforce or supply chains, according to reports from operators and regulators received through the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA's) COVID-19 Operational Experience Network (OPEX) and International Reporting System for Operating Experience (IRS).

EDF submits application to build 3.2 GW Sizewell C nuclear plant in UK

EDF extends Bugey 3 outage, stops other units (4.8 GW)
EDF has extended an outage at its French Bugey 3 (910 MW) reactor by 10 days to 10 June, while stopping other units for modulation, reducing total capacity by 4.8 GW, transparency data showed on Friday.
