Brent crude futures increased over 101 dollars a barrel on Wednesday supported by a weaker dollar and the continue turmoil in Egypt that would affect the oil supply in the region. Meanwhile, the ICE Brent March crude increased 1.90 dollars to 101.82 dollars a barrel.

London crude prices surged by 60 cents to $100.52 a barrel by 07:10 GMT on Wednesday due to constraints in North Sea supplies, still transit through the Canal Suez was unaffected. Meanwhile, U.S. crude for March rose 66 cents to $87.60 a barrel, the spread between the two benchmarks widening to $12.92 a barrel. The turmoil in Egypt had pushed the oil market up during last 15 days, though the effects on U.S. oil prices are reducing now.

U.S. crude oil futures traded lower on Monday, having hit its lowest level in more than one week, thus unaffecting the supplies through the Suez Canal as the unrest in Egypt continued. Prices for March crude eased 1.55 dollars at 87.48 dollars a barrel.
