Crude oil prices rebounded on Monday amid growing supply worries as winter approaches. However, the overall global economic concerns about a recession continue to limit the uptrend. Brent crude futures increased by $1.16, or 1.3%, to settle at $94.00 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude rose by 99 cents, or 1.1%, to close at $87.78 a barrel.

UK cuts energy price cap, targets more oil, gas

The UK government will fix the energy retail price cap at £2,500/yr ($2,870/yr) for a 'typical' home for two years and will seek to accelerate domestic supply by launching a new North Sea oil and gas licensing round and lifting a moratorium on hydraulic fracturing (fracking), prime minister Liz Truss said today.
