Norway’s oil regulator, Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), announced new forecasts on Tuesday, concerning the unfound oil and gas resources in the Arctic Barents Sea area, doubling them at approximately 17.6 billion barrels.

Copenhagen and Oslo support Poland’s plan to build gas connection to Norway
Polish authorities reported that the plan to build a gas pipeline connecting Poland with Norwegian gas deposits via the Baltic Sea and Denmark was approved by Warsaw's partners in Copenhagen and Oslo.

Poland might build a LNG terminal on the Baltic Sea by 2021
Earlier this week, Poland announced about its intention to build a second liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on the Baltic Sea by 2021 with an estimated investment of 700 million euros ($761 million), as a possible alternative to a scheduled gas pipeline to Norway.

Statoil purchases 12.5% of Dogger Bank offshore wind project
The Norway based company Statoil, recently announced about the intention to acquire 12.5% in the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm from Statkraft. The acquisition will increase Statoil participation in the 4.8GW offshore wind up to 37.5%.
