The 900-megawatt Chinon 3 nuclear reactor in western France has been taken offline for tests after "stress corrosion" was found on a bend in four pipes comprising a backup safety coolant system, power group EDF said.

Daily (21.02.2022): British gas prices were bearish on Friday, on forecasts for milder weather and higher renewables output

Crude oil prices were mixed on Friday, as escalating tensions in the Russia-Ukraine crisis were offset by prospects of returning Iranian crude supply, as talks moved forward on a nuclear deal. As such, Brent oil rose by 0.6% to $93.54 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude fell by 0.8% to $91.07 a barrel.

Daily (18.02.2022): Oil prices fell by about 2% on Thursday amid hopes of more Iranian oil supply

Crude oil prices corrected lower on Thursday amid signs of progress in talks in Vienna to resurrect the Iranian nuclear deal that could pave the way for more crude exports from Iran. Hence, Brent crude fell by $1.84, or 1.9%, to settle at $92.97 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude dropped by $1.90, or 2.0%, to settle at $91.76.
