Russia to increase its investments in Iraq energy sector
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said to a news conference during his visit to Baghdad, that the Russian government is ready to consolidate its cooperation with Iraq, especially in increasing its investments in the oil and energy sector.

Statoil halted production at its Njord platform following a gas leak
Norwegian oil giant Statoil announced that it had to halt its production on the Njord platform on Sunday as a result of operational problems with gaskets in a gas export compressor. Later, a gas leak was discovered in one of the risers.
