Canadian Solar delivers 40,000 solar modules for a German project

Canadian Solar Inch has supplied its solar modules for a photovoltaic plant in the German city of Dreieich-Buchschlag. The plant has a generation capacity of 8 megawatt and it is spread across an area of 153,000 square meters, quite enough to supply electricity for about 2, 000 homes in Dreieich.

Global geothermal capacity reaches approximately 11,224 MW

Global geothermal capacity has increased to about 11,224 MW of installed capacity as of May 2012, emphasizing again the importance of this baseload energy source that could replace other non renewable sources worldwide, announced Karl Gawell, the director of Geothermal Energy Association.
