Gazprom gas prices for Europe could be reduced by 17% by 2017

Gazprom’s natural gas prices under long-term contracts with European countries are expected to be curbed by 17% to $320 per 1,000 cubic meters by 2017 thanks to gas supply diversification, including shale gas production, according to the declarations made by a representative of Russia’s Economic Development Ministry.

Daily: Crude oil prices rebound after long losing strip

Crude oil prices recovered from a long losing streak on Thursday as traders bought back contracts to secure their profits. Brent crude increased 39 cents to settle at $108.67 a barrel, rebounding after eight days of losses, the longest slump since 2010. U.S. crude rose 64 cents to close at $102.93 a barrel, recovering from a nine-day losing strip, the longest slide since late 2009.

Daily: Oil crude prices plunge on oil crisis end in Libya

Both crude oil benchmark contracts dropped on Thursday as supply worries started to attenuate after Libyan government has reached a deal with rebels to end the oil crisis that has curbed exports from the OPEC member. Brent hit a session low of $110.53 before paring losses ahead of the settlement. U.S. oil slipped 42 cents to close at $104.06 a barrel, after plunging as low as $103.67 earlier in the session, posting a three-week low.
