IEA forecasts slower global oil demand growth in 2024
World oil demand growth will slow next year compared with this year when a record 102.2m bbl/day of crude oil will be consumed, the International Energy Agency said on Friday.

Daily (14.08.2023): Oil prices climbed on Friday amid IEA's forecasts of record global demand in 2023
Oil prices rose for the seventh week in a row on Friday, driven by recent projections from the International Energy Agency (IEA) regarding global oil demand growth in 2023. The IEA's monthly report indicates that demand is set to reach a historic high of 102.2 million barrels per day, making it the highest level ever recorded. Consequently, Brent crude increased by 0.5% to $86.81 a barrel, while WTI crude advanced by 0.4% to settle at $83.19 a barrel.

Spain On Track To Generate 50% Of Its Power From Renewables In 2023
Spain is on track to generate more than half of its power from renewable sources this year, the first of the top five European countries by power demand to accomplish this feat, according to Rystad Energy forecasts. Spain will reach this significant decarbonization milestone this year, with renewable-sourced generation surpassing the 50% average in 2023, beating France, Germany, Italy and the UK to this record.

Daily (06.06.2023): Crude oil prices rose by 1% on forecasts for additional cuts planned by Saudi Arabia in July.
Crude oil prices increased on Monday following the extension of production agreements by OPEC+ countries, with Saudi Arabia planning additional cuts in July. Hence, Brent crude increased by 0.8% to settle at $76.71 a barrel. While WTI Crude edged 0.6% higher at $72.15 a barrel.

IEA forecasts global EV sales to surge by 35% in 2023, will acquire 18% share of global car market
Global electric vehicle sales are set to surge by more than a third in 2023 on the back of continued support from government policies across China, Europe and the United States, according the latest Global Electric Vehicle Outlook released by the International Energy Agency on April 26.
