GE to provide wind turbines for Polish wind farms
GE will supply 38 wind turbines for the development of four wind projects in the second phase of Darlowo Wind Energy Center being developed in Northern Poland. For these wind projects will be utilized GE’s 2.5 MW class of wind turbines.

UK and Denmark to develop a North Sea “supergrid”
The British National Grid operator and its Danish “copartner”, Energinet.dk, will cooperate in the development of a North Sea “supergrid” which will deliver green power between two North European countries. The movement came immediately after the announcement of the start of a new feasibility study on suggested electricity inter connector.

Bulgaria to move toward small renewable projects
According to Bulgaria’s Energy Minister, Delyan Dobrev, the country, which strives for reaching 16 percent of its final energy demand from renewable by 2020, will turn its energy focus on small renewable energy projects in order to keep off the increase in electricity costs and avoid the overburden of its power grid because of the rapid development of big wind and solar projects.

UK to allocate up to £60 million to speed up the CCS technology in emerging markets
In order to stimulate the development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology in emerging markets, Climate Change Minister, Greg Barker has announced the allocation of up to £60 million ($96m).
