Bulgaria gives green light to South Stream project

Following a meeting on 30 March between the head of the Russian energy giant Gazprom, Alexey Miller and Bulgaria’s newly appointed Minister of Energy and Economy Delian Dobrev, it was announced that the final investment decision on the construction of the South Stream pipeline, aimed at ensuring direct supplies of natural gas from the producer to the consumer, will be taken by 15 November.

Daily – Brent crude down after gaining four straight days

U.S. crude futures closed the session higher for a third consecutive day on Friday extending gains for a second week and settling the utmost settlement since May 2011 on hopes of economic improvement, fears over Iranian supplies and hopes that Greece will secure a bailout by next week. NYMEX crude for March delivery traded at 103.24 dollars a barrel, adding 93 cents.
