Gazprom and Total to develop arctic reserves

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Christophe de Margerie, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Total met on Friday in Saint Petersburg to discuss the next step in the development of Shtokman natural gas field in the arctic waters on the Russian continent shelf, which is considered by Gazprom to be a strategically important move.

Norway granted 60 oil production licenses in mature fields

The Norwegian government has decided to award 60 production licenses to 42 oil companies in the Awards in Predefined Areas round for 2011 (APA 2011), while 27 of them were granted operatorships.
