Statoil sets $2.77 billion in maintenance deals in Norway
Norway’s Statoil unveiled on Tuesday that it awarded maintenance and modification contracts worth $2.77 billion (NOK24bn) for its offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities in Norway. The company said that the new compensation system is aimed to save on oilfield services and to encourage continuous improvement and higher productivity.

Daily: Crude oil prices diverge, but both contracts register third weekly loss
Brent crude boosted and WTI futures declined on Friday in choppy trading as higher imports outlook from Iran slashed prices and dragged down by contracts to their third consecutive weekly losses. Brent crude for September delivery rose by 18 cents to close at $57.10 a barrel, off nearly 3 percent for the week and more than 10 percent for the month. Brent's August contract expired on Thursday. U.S. crude for August delivery dropped by only 2 cents to settle at $50.89, down more than 3 percent this week and more than 14 percent in July. The August contract expires on July 21.

National Grid grants contracts for Britain-Norway electricity connection
Britain's National Grid has granted contracts totalling 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) to firms implicated in building the first power link between Britain and Norway, as it stated on Tuesday.
