Norway’s oil strike
About 700 Norwegian offshore oil and gas sector workers were to continue their strike, after a second round of talks with employers failed last Wednesday. The strike has shut down five oil and gas fields on the Norwegian continental shelf and has already cut Norway's oil production by around 13 percent and gas output by 4 percent.

Turkey and Azerbaijan to build the TANAP gas pipeline
Turkey and Azerbaijan signed an agreement for the construction of a new pipeline, called Trans-Anatolia Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which would transport gas from Shah Deniz II fields in the Caspian Sea across Turkey and would become part of the basis of a new Southern Corridor gas route to European markets.

Iraq's oil production hits a 20 year-peak
Iraq saw its oil production at the highest level since 20 years, due to an increased production at Halfaya field, which exceeded 3.07 million barrels a day this month.

Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni and Rosneft Chairman Igor Sechin signed agreements in Saint Petersburg today to jointly explore fields in Russian sections of the Black and Barents Seas.
